Computer corporation founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.

Apple made its name first with the Apple II.

Its introduction of the Macintosh in 1984 was the first successful commercial realization of the graphic user interface ideas that began with Sketchpad and NLS, through the Alto project at Xerox PARC.

Other important Apple employees included Jef Raskin, leader of the Macintosh project, and Bill Atkinson.
