First Draft of a Report on the EDVAC (1945)

Manifesto by John von Neumann, riddled with typographical errors and missing sections. Describes in detail how to build a working digital computer, incorporating von Neumann's ideas with those of Arthur Burks, Herman Goldstine, John Mauchly, and J. Presper Eckert. Von Neumann, more than anyone else on the team, understood that the computer was a logical machine, more than just a calculator. Nearly every computer in the world now follows his design, which became known as the von Neumann architecture.
